Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the casual relationship of differentiation, , meaningful life and forgiveness with marital disaffection by mediating role of marital conflict and marital satisfaction in the students .The population of the study includes all the married female students of Islamic Azad University Dezful Branch from among them, a sample of 256 were selected by using the random sampling method of proportionate stratified. Kayser’s Marital Disaffection Scale, Skowron’s revised Differentiation of Self Questionnaire, a valuable indicator of Batista and Almond , Rye’s Forgiveness Questionnaire and Sanai’s revised Marital Conflicts Questionnaire and Four Enrich Couple Scales were used to measure the variables. Evaluation of the proposed model was made by path analysis and to examine the indirect relationships bootstrapping method (Amos software) was used. The results showed that all coefficients, the path coefficients between the variables except the direct path of differentiation with marital disaffection, were statistically meaningful. On the other side, the results revealed that the indirect relationship of differentiation, meaningful life and forgiveness with marital disaffection also was meaningful through marital conflict and marital satisfaction. It seems that marital disaffection is a complex phenomenon which is influenced by various factors such as, meaningful life, forgiveness, martial conflict and marital satisfaction.
